An asthma educator is an expert in teaching, educating, and counseling individuals with asthma and their families in the knowledge and skills necessary to minimize the impact of asthma on their quality of life.
Together, we can improve lives. It is vital that the array of professionals involved in all levels of asthma education have access to materials, reference, and community to help recognize and achieve the highest standards of care.

We provide resources from member to member, mentorship, and we assist in the development of guidance and other initiatives for asthma care.
Join Us!
AAE holds an annual conference and produces continuing education monographs on culturally competent asthma care as well as on inhalation therapy devices. There are numerous opportunities to grow, both individually, and as a group, with the support we secure from industry leaders.
You do not need to be a certified asthma educator (AE-C) to join our membership. AAE recognizes the role of all professionals in the continuum of care for asthma patients. We believe it is critical that all have access to the most comprehensive and current information on care standards and successful strategies as well as medications and devices.
