After announcing a June 30 release date for their Kickstarter-funded album, TLC has released the project’s first single. “Way Back” — a G-funk, R&B groove — was premiered on iHeartRadio April 13. Channeling the smoothness of their sophomore effort CrazySexyCool, the girl group throws it back to the ’90s as they recall “go[ing] way back” with an old flame. According to the single art (tweeted by member T-Boz), the song also features legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg.

The summer project — which has yet to be named — will be TLC’s first studio album since 2002’s 3D , which was released the same year the group lost Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in a car accident. On April 4, the group’s manager Bill Diggins teased upcoming promo for the album, which has raised over $430,000, well surpassing its $150,000 goal on Kickstarter.
