METALLICA, SLAYER, IRON MAIDEN Among Winners At METAL HAMMER Awards

METALLICA won "Best International Act", SLAYER were named "Best Live Act" and IRON MAIDEN were named "Best U.K. Act" at the second annual Metal Hammer awards, which were held Monday (June 7) in east London. In addition, THE DARKNESS won "Best Video" for their most recent hit, "Love Is Only A Feeling", Welsh rockers FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND won "Best Breakthrough Band" and former MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx was honored with the "Spirit of Hammer" award for his contribution to the world of rock.
