Janet Margolin Biography (1943-1993)
Born July 25, 1943, in New York, NY; died of ovarian cancer, December 17, 1993, in Los Angeles, CA. Actress. Margolin is perhaps best known for her appearances in two Woody Allen films, Take the Money and Run and Annie Hall. Margolin made her film debut as the disturbed teenager Lisa in David and Lisa, released in 1963; other film appearances included The Greatest Story Ever Told, Enter Laughing, Last Embrace, and Ghostbusters II. Margolin played Betty Anderson Roerick on the television series Peyton Place, and later appeared in television movies such as The Last Child, Planet Earth, The Triangle Factory FireScandal, and Murder C. O. D. In 1962, she won both a Theatre World Award forher work in the Broadway production of Daughter of Silence and the Best Actress Award at the San Francisco Film Festival.
