Meaning:
The four spokes of the wheel are representing the four municipalities, belonging to Flotwedel, the 18 paddles are representing the 18 settlements of the comprehensive municipality. The barrulets are representing Aller River (above) and Fuhse Creek (below).

The shield is Argent. Issuant from a base Vert is an oak tree Vert with three acorns Or, the stem is charged with a pair of scales Or, superimposed by sword Argent hilted Or and pointing to base.
Meaning:
The municipality's name is derived from Ekelege (1350) or Eek-lage (= oak ground). The oak is thus canting. The acorns are representing the former municipalities Groß Eicklingen, Klein Eicklingen and Sandlingen. Sword and scales here are symbolizing, that Eicklingen had been seat of a court.

Wienhausen Coat of Arms
The shield is Argent with base Vert, charges with a barrulet wavy Argent. Issuant from base is a building Gules with stepped gable, flanked by two towers of the same and two oak leves Vert in chief. Over all is an inescutcheon Or, charged with a lion rampant Azure, armed and tongued Gules and a heartlet Gules between his paws.
Meaning:
The building is the local monastery. The barrulet wavy is representing Aller River. The inescutcheon is displaying the arms of Celle County. Wienhausen is seat of SG Flotwedel
