Description of the flag
It's always of interest to me the shade of "маренового", so finally I found on
https://vk.com/topic-38050236_26375331?offset=0 some interesting description
on RGB 179,18,53. This is the new flag which compares with the photos.

This flag, in medium blue, is listed under number 87 at the chart

According to Jiri Tenora [jtn02],
the sun symbol on the flag of Mordovia is divided into four parts
symbolizing the four Mordovian tribes.
Ivan Sache, 18 Apr 2002

In the number 2/2001 of Alkukoti I found an interesting map chart
[alk01] with the living areas and flags
of the different Finno-Ugric peoples. It shows a simple white-red-black
triband for the Erza Mordovians (one of the two related Mordovian tribes; the
other one is Moksha).
