26.11.2019 ԵԱՀԿ Խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի նախագահ Գեորգի Ծերեթելին ԵԱՀԿ խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովում ՀՀ ԱԺ պատվիրակության ղեկավար Հայկ Կոնջորյանի ուղեկցությամբ այցելեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր, ապա նաև՝ թանգարան:
Պատվիրակությանն ընդունեց ու Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիրի, ինչպես նաև Հուշապատի կառուցման պատմությունն ու խորհուրդը ներկայացրեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Հարություն Մարությանը:
Հյուրերը եղան նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանում, ՀՑԹԻ էքսկուրսավար Հասմիկ Մարտիրոսյանը ներկայացրեց թանգարանային ցուցադրությունը, մանրամասներ հաղորդեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության պատմությունից:

Հայտնի երգիծաբան, գրող, հաղորդավար, ԽՍՀՄ ժողովրդական արտիստ Եվգենի Պետրոսյանը նոյեմբերի 20-ին այցելեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան:
«Բոլոր ժամանակների ամենամեծ ողբերգությունը, որ վերաբերվում է հայերին, չի կարող հանգիստ թողնել ոչ մի գիտակից մարդու: Այս Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանն անհրաժեշտ է աշխարհին, ցանկացած մարդու՝ գիտակցելու համար, թե ուր կարող է գնալ աշխարհը, որի հետևանքները կլինեն աններելի աղետալի: Չկան բավարար արցունքներ, որ սգան այս ողբերգությունը: Անսահման սգում եմ: Շնորհակալ եմ թանգարանի աշխատակիցներին այն ահռելի աշխատանքի համար, որ նրանք անում են իրենց սերունդներին օբյեկտիվորեն ցույց տալու համար, թե ինչ եղավ և, մի գուցե, թե ինչպես ապագայում կանխել նման վայրագությունները»: Թանգարան այցից հետո, հայտնի դերասանը այցելեց նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր, ծաղիկներ դրեց Անմար կրակի մոտ և հարգանքի տուրք մատուցեց Սուրբ նահատակների հիշատակին: |

11.11.2019 Within the framework of his official visit to Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, accompanied by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan and AGMI Director Harutyun Marutyan, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial. Sergey Lavrov laid a wreath AT THE Genocide Monument, than put flowers at the eternal fire. Members of the delegation honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the accompanying delegation had a tour at the Memory Alley, where Sergey Lavrov watered the fir he planted 12 years ago. |

09.11.2019 Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States within the Holy See's Secretariat of State, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex accompanied by Avet Adonts, the Deputy FM of the Republic of Armenia and Lusine Abrahamyan, the Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Institute-Museum. Paul Richard Gallagher laid flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. Vatican guests also visited the Genocide Museum and got acquainted with the exhibition. At the end of the visit Secretary for Relations with States within of Holy See left a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests: “On the occasion of my visit to the Museum of the Armenian Genocide I am filled with sentiments of grief for the victims commemorated here. May the mercy of God grant eternal rest to those who lost their lives and help restore justice and respect in human relations for a better world. May God comfort the descendants of the victims and their families and bless the whole Armenian nation”. |

05.11.2019 Prokopius Pavlopoulos, the President of the Hellenic Republic, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide martyrs. The Greek President was accompanied with Eric Grigoryan, the Minister of Environment, Hayk Sargsyan, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Fadey Charchoghlyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, and Mrs. Nafsika Nancy Eva Vrayla, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Armenia. The guests were welcomed by Harutyun Marutyan, AGMI Director who presented to the guests the history and symbolism of the Genocide Monument. The Greek President laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument after which the members of accompanying delegation put flowers at the eternal fire. The Greek delegation also visited the Genocide Museum, where Hasmik Martirosyan, AGMI French language guide presented the museum exhibition. At the end of the visit the Greek President left a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests. Than in a conversation with the journalists he mentioned: “The memory of the Armenian Genocide must be preserved, after all, if genocides are forgotten, those crimes will be repeated again. This is a message from Yerevan to everyone. We see similar events being repeated all over the world, and there are people who are enemies of human and civilization. We have survived the same horror as the Armenians. I am very grateful to the President and Government of the Republic of Armenia for hosting us, because Armenian-Greek relations have a long history, and we must preserve this shared memory”. 29.10.2019 On 29 October, the Prince Radu of Romania accompanied by Mr. Cornel Ionescu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the RA, and Sergey Minasyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Romania visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Lusine Abrahamyan, AGMI deputy director, welcomed the guests and presented the history and symbolism of the Armenian Genocide Monument. Prince Radu laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument after which members of the accompanying delegation put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. After the ceremony the guests visited the Genocide Museum and got acquainted with the exhibition and details of the Genocide History. At the end of the visit Prince Radu left a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests. Romanian guest had also a tour in the Memory Alley. |

28.10.2019 On 28 October, Ekaterina Zakharieva, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, within the official visit to the Republic of Armenia, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex accompanied with Avet Adonts, RA Deputy Foreign Minister. Mr. Laurent Wauquiez was accompanied by Jonathan Lacote, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Armenia, Vache Terteryan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, and representatives of the Armenian community of France.

Within the framework of his visit to Armenia at an invitation of His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians the former President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck and his wife visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. The former President was accompanied by Michael Banzhaf, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia, and representatives of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

27.08.2019 Within the framework of his official visit to Armenia on an invitation by Ararat Mirzoyan, RA National Assembly Speaker, Andreas Norlén, the Speaker of the Swedish Riksdag has visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. The delegation headed by Andreas Norlén was accompanied with Lena Nazaryan, RA NA RA NA vice Speaker Vice Speaker. AGMI Director Harutyun Marutyan presented to the high ranking officials the history of the monument construction and its symbol. The Speaker of the Swedish Riksdag laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument, after which members of accompanying delegation put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. The Swedish delegation also visited the Genocide Museum where Lusine Abrahamyan, AGMI deputy director, presented details about the Genocide History. AGMI Director gifted to Andreas Norlén volumes of articles on the Armenian Genocide published in the American press. At the end of the visit Speaker of the Riksdag left a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests: “Thank you for helping us not to forget something that should never be forgotten.” |

14.08.2019 On 14 August, within the framework of his official visit to Armenia, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, the Foreign Minister of Uruguay, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Harutyun Marutyan, AGMI Director, presented to the high ranking guests the history of the Genocide Monument Construction. The Minister laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument after which members of accompanying delegation put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. Uruguay Foreign Minister also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum, where Lusine Abrahamyan, AGMI deputy director, presented details about the exhibition and the genocide history. AGMI Director gifted to the Minister volumes of articles on the Armenian Genocide published in the American press. At the end of the visit the Foreign Minister left a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests, after which had a tour at the Memory Alley and planted a fir. Recall, Uruguay was one of the first states to recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide and in 1965 Senate and House of Representatives declared April 24 as “Remembrance Day of Armenian Martyrs”, and already in 2004 the recognition was given the force of law. |

09.07.2019 Newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to the Republic of Armenia, Eliav Belozerkowski accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Israel, Armen Smbatyan and Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Harutyun Marutyan visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and presented the history of the Armenian Genocide Memorial to guests. The delegation from Israel laid flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. Accompanied by director Marutyan, the guests toured the area of the Memorial, got acquainted with its significance. The Israeli ambassador also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum and got acquainted with the history of the Armenian Genocide. After the tour, Mr. Ambassador made a note in the Book of Honorable Guests. At the end of the visit, the AGMI Director presented the Ambassador with volumes of articles on the Armenian Genocide published in the American press. |

11.05.2019 On 11 May, the delegation headed by Gudrun Kugler, the head of the Austria-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of Austrian National Council, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. The delegation was accompanied by Viktor Yengibaryan, the head of the NA Armenia-Austria Friendship Group, and Harutyun Marutyan, the Director of “The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute” Foundation. The guests put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. Then Austrian parliamentarians had a visit to the museum, got acquainted with the exhibits and wrote a note in the Memory Book of honorable guests. Emphasizing that Austria recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2015, Gudrun Kugler mentioned: “It is a tragedy that many countries in the world have not yet recognized the Armenian Genocide; we must fight for this recognition. Words cannot describe what happened to Armenian nation.” |

18.04.2019 On April 17 within their visit to Armenia the U.S. Congressmen visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex accompanied by the deputies of the RA National Assembly, members of the Armenia-American Parliamentary Friendship Group Gayane Abrahamyan and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, newly appointed US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Lynne M. Tracy. The director of the AGMI Foundation Harutyun Marutyan welcomed the guests and presented the history of the Memorial Complex. The members of the House Democracy Partnership of the US House of Representatives put flowers at the eternal fire, honoring the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. The delegation from America also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum, got acquainted with the documents about the first genocide of the 20th century, observed the exhibits and left a note in the Book of Honorable Guests. The Director of the Museum-Institute gifted English language books on the Armenian Genocide to the Congressmen. |

Accompanied by the AGMI Foundation Director Lynne Tracy put flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. US Ambassador also toured in the museum and got acquainted with the exhibition. At the end of the visit Ambassador Lynne Tracy left a note in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests. AGMI Director Harutyun Marutyan gifted to Ambassador Tracy the volumes «The Armenian Genocide: Prelude and Aftermath. As reported in the U.S. Press» compiled and edited by Vahan Ohanyan, the Archimandrite of the Mekhitarist Congregation, and Australian-Armenian Ara Ketibian. The US Embassy in Armenia has forwarded thanks to the director and staff of the museum for the warm reception. |

The President of Georgia was accompanied by the RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan. The guests were welcomed by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation Director Harutyun Marutyan, who presented to the guests the construction history of the monument and the symbolism of the monument. The President of Georgia laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument after which the members of the accompanying delegation put flowers at the eternal fire, honoring the memory of innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. The Georgian delegation also visited the Genocide Museum. 09.03.2019 Today the delegation headed by Lotta Johnsson Fornarve, the second vice-speaker of the Parliament of Swedish Kingdom accompanied by Lena Nazaryan, the vice-speaker of the RA National Assembly, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Lotta Johnsson Fornarve laid a wreath at the Memorial, and with the members of the delegation put flowers at the eternal fire, honoring the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Harutyun Marutyan, the director of the AGMI Foundation, who also introduced the history of construction of the memorial complex and its symbolism. The guests also visited the Armenian Genocide Museum, got acquainted with the exhibits on the tragedy of the Armenian people. After the tour Mrs. Fornarve left a note in the Memory Book of the museum. The vice-speaker of the Swedish Parliament mentioned, that the Parliament of Sweden has already recognized the Armenian Genocide adding; “We always remember the Armenian tragedy and every year the commemoration ceremonies are being held at our Parliament. This year again on April 24 Armenian Genocide commemoration ceremony will be held”. |

22.02.2019 On February 21, in the frame of an official visit to Armenia, Minister of Defense of Georgia and the accompanying delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. Minister Levan Izorya laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument and members of the delegation put flowers at the eternal fire honoring the memory of the holy martyrs with a minute of silence. 13.02.2019 In the framework of an official visit to Armenia, Savvas Angelides, Cyprus Minister of Defense, and the accompanying delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex. The Minister laid a wreath at the Memorial Monument, and members of the delegation put flowers at the eternal fire, honoring the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence. The delegation also visited the Genocide Museum, and in the end of the visit Minister Angelides left a note in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests. Dr. Harutyun Marutyan, Director of the AGMI Foundation, gifted the honorable guest volume publication «The Armenian Genocide: Prelude and Aftermath. As reported in the U.S. Press – The New York Times» by Archimandrite of the Mekhitarist Congregation Father Vahan Ohanyan and Ara Ketipyan, which collects articles published in the New York Times about the Armenian Genocide. Back on 24 August 1915, House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus adopted a resolution condemning the Armenian Genocide. On 2 April 2015 the Parliament of Cyprus unanimously passed a bill criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide. |
