Accolade's Barnett to Head Infogrames US - IGN

Infogrames' acquisition of US publisher Accolade is proceeding smoothly, the company said today, as it named Jim Barnett, the former CEO of Accolade, as head of Infogrames' North American operations.

"I'm pleased to have Jim Barnett and such a strong team of seasoned industry leaders to guide our North American business to the next level," said Bruno Bonnell, CEO and chairman of Infogrames. "Jim's experience in the industry will help drive the company to become the global leader in the interactive entertainment software market."

The two companies plan to merge their San Jose, Ca-based offices in Accolade's current offices. Infogrames US presence will now grow from 29 people to over 175 when the merger is complete, which should be some time in July.
