About The Games

  • The NatWest Island Games has always been a natural source of inspiration in my Olympic career.

    Mattias Sunneborn, Gotland
    Athletics gold medal winner at the NatWest Island Games; Long jump - European Indoor Champion 1996 and competed for Sweden in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

  • The 2007 NatWest Island Games was my first international competition, it was a very important step in my swimming career.

    Pal Joensen, Faroe Islands
    Swimming - won gold medals at the 2007, 2011 and 2015 NatWest Island Games, a bronze medal at the 2012 World Championships and competed for Denmark at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

  • I am extremely proud to have been part of the NatWest Island Games which is an important event for the Cayman Islands. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
