The stud now comprises 360 acres which is well divided between large, undulating summer paddocks of varying sizes from 12 to 20 acres and smaller, sheltered winter paddocks. The majority of the present acreage was originally arable land which has been drained, seeded and fenced with plenty of trees and hedges planted over the years.

Further extensive work has been undertaken on the infrastructure, with new boxes being built to offer plenty of light and ventilation. The dedicated foaling unit has CCTV, rubber walls and floors, while our yearling yard has two horse walkers, a lunge ring and small paddocks for turn out, which we believe is vitally important for sales prep as it allows the colts to have individual turnout during the day. The renowned Rossdales veterinary practice is on hand and on call around the clock.

From St Leger hero and top National Hunt sire MILAN to the Group 1 winning colts CHARMING THOUGHT and FORTE DEI MARMI and to Group 1 winning fillies SHAMSHIR and LADY BOWTHORPE, plenty of top class horses have spent their formative years in the paddocks of Fittocks Stud.
