Posh, 36, was persuaded by son Cruz to join the cartoon hero in the underwater city.

She will play Queen Amphitrite in The Clash of Triton, a 30-minute special being shown in the US on July 5.

Other stars to have been on SpongeBob include Johnny Depp, David Bowie and Scarlett Johansson.
