Designated IX-161, 7 February 1944
Launched, 18 February 1944
Acquired by the Navy and placed in service as Barite (IX-161) 31 August 1944
Barite was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and served as a floating lubricating oil facility at Ulithi, Saipan and Leyte
Placed out of service, 5 August 1946 at Subic Bay, P.I. and delivered to the War Shipping Administration for disposal
Struck from the Naval Register, 15 August 1946
Sold to the Asia Development Corp. in China, delivered, 23 April 1948
