  • Laid down 8 February 1945 by Annapolis Yacht Yard, Inc., Annapolis, MD
  • Launched 14 March 1945
  • Completed 5 April 1945
  • Placed in service 6 April 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 28 November 1945
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 15 August 1946 and sold to the Hughes Tool Co. of Houston, TX for use as a tender to support the operation of the Hughes H-4 Flying Boat, aka
    the "Spruce Goose"
  • Registered in 1948 to the Hughes Aircraft Co. of Culver City, CA as the miscellaneous vessel Flying Boat Tender
  • Sold to Universal Studios and used in the opening title scenes of the television show, "McHale's Navy"
  • Sold to Mayor Hal Crozer of Hawthorne, CA in the 1990's and converted to a sport fishing boat
  • In 1992 she broke from her moorings near Santa Barbara, CA during a storm, washed up on the beach and was destroyed.
