Brooklyn taxi driver Pete receives a hot tip about pork belly futures, prompting his wife to borrow $3000 from a loan shark without his knowledge. Coming up short, she takes a variety of desperate and increasingly unlikely jobs including prostitute (it's not cheating if it's business), bag man for the mob, cattle rustler, etc.
