With the final two matches lasting more than nine hours combined today, Arnaud Boetsch won the Davis Cup for France by saving match points and rallying past Nicklas Kulti of Sweden in the decisive fifth match.

Boetsch won, 7-6 (7-2), 2-6, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8, in 4 hours 47 minutes, despite facing triple match point at 0-40 and 6-7 in the fifth set.

Earlier, Sweden's Thomas Enqvist rallied from two sets down to beat Cedric Pioline, 3-6, 6-7 (8-10), 6-4, 6-4, 9-7.
