Olympedia – Oswald Holmberg
Biography
Oswald Holmberg competed, and won medals, at three Olympic Games. He won a bronze medal with the Swedish tug-of-war team in 1906, and then won gold medals in team gymnastics in 1908 and 1912. Two of his brothers, Arvid Holmberg and Carl Holmberg, were also on the 1908 gold medal winning gymnastics team. Oswald Holmberg was a wholesaler from Malmö. He later studied law and worked in business, but ended up teaching gymnastics.
