Olympedia – John Hendrickson
Biography
John Hendrickson gained national attention for trapshooting after the turn of the 20th century and won a national title in that event in the first half of the decade. By 1910 he was serving as the president of the New York State Sportsmen’s Association and, two years later, he was selected to represent the United States in the trapshooting tournament at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. There, he was 44th individually, but took gold in the team event alongside Jay Graham, Charles Billings, Ralph Spotts, Frank Hall, and Edward Gleason. He was still competing through the end of World War I and, by career, was a court stenographer.
