Olympedia – Raisa O'Farrill
Biography
Raisa O’Farrill was a Cuban volleyball player who represented Villa Clara and the national team. O’Farrill was part of the Cuban team that won gold at the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship. She was named in Cuba’s team for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics but she did not play in any matches. Four years later she did play in seven games at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics with the Cuban side winning the gold medal. After her retirement O’Farrill worked as a professor at the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences.
