Biography
During her career Svetlana Pechorskaya won seven World Championships, her only individual title coming at 15 km in 1990. She also won both the relay race and team event in 1989-91, winning silvers in the 7.5 km in 1990-91 and bronze in the 1989 15 km. Her only Olympic medal, a silver in the 15 km, came at the 1992 Winter Olympics, where she was also 13th in 7.5 km. Pechorskaya also won the World Cup in 1990-91.
