  • Chris StapletonStapleton was born on April 15, 1978 in Kentucky. Stapleton spent several years known predominantly as a songwriter and producing many hit songs for established country artists. Stapleton's singing career consisted of being a member of the bluegrass group The Steel Drivers from 2007 to 2010, followed by founding the group The Jompson Brothers in 2010, and going solo in 2013. He didn't become an 'overnight sensation' until he was in his upper 30s and released the LP, Traveller.
