From its memorable presentation to its simple gameplay, Sonic R is a title that doesn’t do anything special but that can tend to grow on you if you give it a chance. Beyond its infamous soundtrack, however, its underachieved potential is what makes it memorable. Still, it is fun to run around for a while, especially with a friend.
Sasha Darko’s Sacred Line II
Sasha Darko returns with the second entry in the Sacred Line series, and it’s a step up from the original. Sacred Line II brings creepy visual horror to the Genesis in a much larger fashion than the original game, and it’s definitely a title worth playing during the Halloween season.
Resident Evil: Code: Veronica
Dreamcast owners got a special treat when Capcom gave them the exclusive next chapter in the Resident Evil saga. Code: Veronica brought 3D environments and big upgrades to the established gameplay, and while it stumbles a bit over its aging mechanics, it manages one hell of a ride. If you have a Dreamcast, then you simply have to own this game.
