Principal Deity of Worship | While the principal deity of worship of Seicho-No-Ie may be tentatively called Seicho-No-le-no-O-Kami (Lord of Seicho-No-le), it is deemed to be the responding manifestation or personification of the noumenon of the Great Universe (the only absolute God), since Seicho-No-Ie is another name of the Great Universe. Each principal deity of worship of true religions is the one and only God being referred to by different names and we worship them with the same respect, regardless of what they are called. At Seicho-No-Ie we do not create a statue to manifest our principal deity of worship. Instead, we put up a calligraphy that reads True Image (which is read Jisso in Japanese) to worship the True Image (the universal Truth) which lies behind the principal deities of worship of all religions. |
