Jurado leaves Watford to sign for Espanyol

Watford have confirmed midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado has left the club to join Espanyol.

The 30-year-old Spaniard signed for the Hornets from Spartak Moscow in July 2015 and made 30 appearances for the club but will not feature in the plans of incoming manager Walter Mazzarri.

A statement on the Watford website read: "The Hornets can confirm that Jose Manuel Jurado has today completed a permanent transfer to Espanyol.... All at Watford wish Jose well for the future."

Watford have signed a number of players as they prepare for life after Quique Sanchez Flores, who comfortably kept them in the Premier League as well as guiding them to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Belgium international Christian Kabasele, Jerome Sinclair from Liverpool and Granada forward Isaac Success have all come to Vicarage Road, while striker Troy Deeney has ended speculation about his future by signing a new five-year contract.
