Alright y'all!  Solesides.com has been on a hiatus for a while but we're back with a new site. And we're back for good. Anything solesides/quannum/DJ Shadow/Latyrx/Blackalicious/Lateef/Lyrics Born can be found here. Always. And hey, it's even easier to check out this site on your mobile device too!

To celebrate the fact that we're back, together with our friends from The Goodwill Projects, a Mo'Quannum / Sole to Soul / Solesides vs Motown mix will be launched in the coming week. Keep checking this space for more on that.

WORLD PREMIERE OF A NEW DJ SHADOW REMIX
We at Solesides proudly present to y'all, the WORLD PREMIERE of the DJ SHADOW remix of 'Eyesdontlie'  by Machinedrum.  Here it is:

We think that track is pretty sweet, great to hear Shadow flipping these new cats & keeping it interesting. We wonder how the more traditional Shadow fans take it. 100% #AllBassesCovered style indeed!  We have more for you today, because....AT LAST, we can hear that rare tape!

Here's A cassette-only release from the first crew DJ Shadow was affiliated with: "Bigger Than Life Productions" from Oakland, circa 1989. Paris mixed two of the tracks. DJ Shadow did scratches for the second release.

Cool stuff from Mo'Wax !
2013/14 marks the 21st anniversary of the birth of Mo'Wax (the famous record label for artists such as DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, UNKLE and more). In honour of this milestone, Mo'wax will be launching 'Urban Archaeology: 21 years of Mo'Wax' - a large scale retrospective exhibition of the Mo’Wax archive and a very special book, as well as a load of other exciting projects and events. Thanks for 2012 y'all -- new mixtape -- Latyrx & DJ Shadow show
Thanks for 2012 y'all. It's been a blast music wise. It looks like 2013 is going to be even better: New releases from Latyrx (The Second Album) and A new Blackalicious album will be hitting your ears. Before all that, here's our 2012 mixtape as a thank you to everyone.

Even more is coming: DJ Shadow will release his 'All Basses Covered' DJ set to the web on december 30.  Be sure to check out DJ SHADOW's WEBSITE for more updates on that.  Also, Latyrx (Lyrics Born & Lateef) will be performing at Wintersalt in San Francisco, CA on December 29th w/ fellow Quannum fam, DJ Shadow!

Alright y'all. The infamous  solesides boards have moved. They are now a solesides community on Google+. This not only means that the boards have more features, the boards have gone mobile too. Just head over to the boards over at boards.solesides.com and join the community.
