The year 2020 (MMXX) is the 37th year since the Transformers brand began.

This year was notable for the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in delayed media deadlines and cancelled mass gatherings due to concerns about the disease being spread to vulnerable people. As a result, the Transformers franchise output was fairly limited compared to previous years.
