In a demonstration of nitpickery, I propose moving this article to [[Dinobot 2 (BW)]], as to the best of my knowledge the only time he's ever offically named anything other than just "Dinobot" is on the cover page of the BW story in the Dreamwave Summer Special, which used the numeral. --KilMichaelMcC 05:39, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

- And both the Dreamwave and IDW ones were never actually diagetic, either. The in-story dialogue in the Dreamwave story, and the profile text in the IDW Sourcebook, only ever called him "Dinobot". The "2" came from an out-of-universe summary description, while the "II" was used in a page title to distinguish the TM2 clone from his namesake in the same manner that the eagle Silverbolt was distinguished from the Fuzor as "Silverbolt II", and how the BWII Magnaboss was distinguished from the original version as "Magnaboss II". And in the Index section of the Sourcebook's omnibus release, all of them were labeled as "Dinobot (II)", "Silverbolt (II)", and "Magnaboss (II)", further indicating that the "II" was merely used for encyclopedic organizational purposes in the book and was not actually part of these characters' in-universe names. --Sabrblade (talk) 17:30, 31 July 2024 (EDT)
