As is usual this time of year, TV on DVD dominates the list of this week's releases. This includes two of the three DVD Pick of the Week contenders: Samantha Who? - Season Two and NCIS - Season Six. The best High Definition release is Adventureland on Blu-ray, while all three are worth of the DVD Pick of the Week honors. It was a pretty busy week, especially in terms of spotlight reviews, and the list had to be split into two with the first part found here.

Men and Women Rise to the Top of the Per Theater Chart

Only two films topped $10,000 on the per theater chart, but that was two more than last week. The number one film was Momma's Man, which earned $11,072 in one theater, while The Girl Cut in Two saw double-digit growth $21,193in two theaters for an average of $10,597.

Rock Me Sexy Limited Releases

We have yet to find the sleeper hit of the summer, the limited release that has break out success and outperforms some of its big budget competition at the box office. Films like Little Miss Sunshine are very rare indeed, but every summer we should have at least one limited release with a Waitress-like run. So far, we've not had a film that has managed that, and quite frankly, this weekend represents the last legitimate shot at that feat.
