All the regular features are here, but it doesn't have a very polished feel.
Since this is not for a film, but for a film festival of sorts, the site itself is a little muddled. Some of the films on the program have their own sites, others do not.
Just the trailer, which makes it look about as good as the original. And no, that is not a compliment.
No site yet, but we have the trailer.
All of the usual features have been added to the site, but it still feels light.
Cast bios were added to the site, as was a song from the soundtrack.
Just the synopsis and the trailer.
This is an amazing site filled with information from the usual features, (cast & crew bios, production notes, etc.), but also details on the gadgets seen in the movie, for instance. Also, there's plenty of multimedia with plenty of video clips, (which I have been avoiding before I see the movie), and even a music video. Add in the number of games and you have a nearly perfect website.
A couple more areas were added to the barn and they include another game to play.
The Children of Men - Official Site
The flash site launched this week, and while all the usual features are here, (synopsis, production notes, cast & crew bios, image gallery, trailers), the heart of the site are the clips. These clips are not presented in one big list, but in eight sections, each with an intro and one or two clips. The clips chosen really help set up the mood and tension of the film and sell it extremely well, which is the main job of the site. And that helps it become the winner of the bountiful Weekly Website Award.
There are a few more features including e-cards.
A few clips were added to the site this week. I particularly like the, "Blame Canada" clip.
Another player was added to the site.
No site yet, but the trailer is online.
The movie may be going direct-to-DVD, but they aren't skipping the website. Right now it's a bit light on content, but it should sell the film to its intended audience. On a side note, the trailer is a red band trailer and therefor isn't safe for work.
The site has all of the usual features but its heart are the behind-the-scenes clips. (I especially like how they have information on alternative meat producers instead of demonizing anyone who's eats meat.)
This is basically two sites in one, one for the movie and one for the movie-within-a-movie. Both have all the usual information and do a good job at selling the film.
The second parts of the Experience section have been added. The new additions don't help explain, or sell, the film any better than the earlier ones.
There's a new look, but no new content.
Another blog on the casting for this film, this time it's on Sam Elliott who plays the Caretaker.
A behind-the-scenes featurette was added.
All the usual features are here with plenty of extras. However, the site as a whole doesn't sell the film very well, at least not to me.
The full site launched this week, but the best part is the four character sections, each of which has a video clip and a part to share your stories.
No real additions this week, but the site was already award the top prize, so nothing new was really needed.
Just the trailer so far, but it is intriguing enough that I was nearly sold after just the first viewing.
The flash site is here and it has all of the usual features. There's also the previous featurette on the movie, but it has been cut up into separate pieces. There are also two extras, one showing Will Smith complete a Rubik's cube and another where you guess who said each quote. The second one has an interesting twist and you don't get name, just descriptions. However, there doesn't seem to be an end as they just kept repeating the quotes.
There's a new trailer online, but you have to head to Yahoo to see it. This is one of those sites that tends to crash my system, so I'm waiting till it shows up on the main site to watch it. It should be there by next week.
The second teaser trailer is online. I know, they are calling it the first trailer, but let's face it, it's merely another teaser trailer. It's a very funny teaser trailer, but I'm still waiting for the full trailer before I make an informed decision on the film.
No real content so far.
Not much of a site. Almost none of the regular features.
There's a new blog entry, (a few actually), including an audio only interview.
There's not much on the site, but the interactive feature, Washington and Cherry, does bode well for the rest of the site. Also of note, the trailer is online, but not on the site.
