Notes: Lavandin Absolute from Concrete, decolorized. Various methods can be used to decolorize the dark green Lavandin Absolute partially without seriously affecting the odor of the perfume material. Decolorized Lavandin Absolute from Concrete finds use in the cases where the intensely green color of the parent absolute would be a drawback in certain lavender colognes, etc., which must not turn out in a green note. The decolorized material is an olive brown to olive yellow liquid and its odor resembles that of the Parent green absolute. The sweetness and rich body can be impaired by the decolorizing process, but when a skillful partial decolorization is carried out, the pale product should give about the same performance in a perfume as would the green absolute. |
