Hon. Sir William Augustus Curzon Barrington was born on 28 January 1842.¹ He was the son of William Keppel Barrington, 6th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Hon. Jane Elizabeth Liddell.¹ He died on 23 February 1922 at age 80.¹
     He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1860 and 1904.¹ He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Argentina between 1896 and 1902.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1901.¹ He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Sweden between 1902 and 1904.¹

     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.¹
