The promotion and popularity of one rural sport have put the fate another other rural contact sport under threat. With kabaddi hogging the limelight it has become a struggle to for the wrestling academies to keep the show going. They complain that the money and hype revolving around the sports have significantly dented the influx of new breed of wrestlers, who are quickly switching to other sport.

Afridi takes Pak to 200

Some lusty late-order hitting by Shahid Afridi took Pakistan to 200 in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka here on Sunday. Afridi struck 75 from just 65 balls with four boundaries and three sixers to take his team to a fighting score.
Pakistan returned to their most successful ODI venue in Sharjah after an eight-year gap, but the circumstances could not have been more different from standard Sharjah fare. Tiger Woods found his putting groove to clinch the Presidents Cup for the United States, who held off a stiff challenge by the Internationals at Royal Melbourne Golf Club on Sunday. Bopanna-Qureshi go down fighting

Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi began their ATP World Tour Finals campaign with a defeat against Daniel Nestor and Max
Mirnyi, albeit after a good fight in a group B match, here today. Fifth seed Indo-Pak pair lost 6-7 (2), 6-4, 9-11 to third seed Canadian-Belarus combo in one hour and 41 minutes at O2.
Bopanna and Qureshi will now have to win the remaining two matches in their group to be in contention for a spot in the semifinals.
Ladies golf camp from Nov 26
Chandigarh, November 20
A one-month long ladies golf camp will be held at Chandigarh Golf Club from November 26.
The camp will be held twice a week, on Saturdays and Sundays. All participants will be taught fundamentals of the game including pitching, putting, long and short irons & basic rules of the game & etiquette.
