Chris Strachwitz @ facebook: "Arhoolie never officially issued colored vinyl pressings. However around 1961 - 1963 Ed Denson and I had purchased a small, older record pressing plant in East Oakland which had previously been used by Bob Geddins. At that time pressings of 12" LPs were still made by supplying the pressers with 'biscuits' in the form of a chocolate bars which had to be heated on a 'heating table' next to the press. They came usually in black but you could also get them in various colors! So we thought it to be fun to try out a few like that! And that is how a few copies of (I think) Lowell Fulson and Lil Son Jackson were shipped out on colored vinyl!"
