The Rageroar clan is an orcish clan[2] led by Karga Rageroar that is assaulting Northwatch Hold.

History[]

While the exact origins of the Rageroar are unknown, it is known that Tolliver Houndstooth had fought against them in the past.[2]

Cataclysm[]

Cataclysm This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

In the aftermath of the Cataclysm, the clan was laying siege to Northwatch Hold. As the siege unfolded, the defenders were received unexpected reinforcements by Alliance adventurer who helped turn the tide against the Rageroar.[3] Rageroar sea dogs also assaulted the Blackpool.[4] Thomas Paxton sent the adventurers against the force's machineries.[5] At Houndstooth's command, they struck out against clans lieutenants, Hexmaster Bastoon, and seemingly killed their leader Karga Rageroar.[2]

Tides of War[]

Despite being beaten, the remnants of the clan were still strong enough to be a thorn in Admiral Aubrey's side. These remnants would later regroup with the rest of the Horde and join them in attacking Northwatch Hold.[1]

Battle for Azeroth[]

At the time of the Fourth War, the Rageroar clan returned under Karga, who has survived the attempt on his life, and assaulted Northwatch with battleships once again.[6] They were reinforced with goblin Azerite cannons to aid with their efforts.[7]

Trivia[]

  • The Rageroar clan is an original invention for the Cataclysm expansion, having never shown up in previous games or novels. It is currently the only Horde clan to have been introduced in World of Warcraft and seems to have been created solely to act as antagonists for the Alliance quests at Northwatch Hold. Despite this, they do appear in Tides of War, and later in Battle for Azeroth, where Karga is revealed to have survived.
  • In contrast to the other orc clans within the Horde, they are not present nor represented at the first Kosh'harg held on Azeroth.[8]
