Royal Library

The Royal Library.

Royal Library pre-Cataclysm.
The Royal Library (or the Stormwind Library) of Stormwind City is located inside Stormwind Keep. There is an extensive collection of scrolls, tomes, books, and texts on anything of historical, religious, cultural, or bureaucratic significance here,[citation needed] and adventurers from all races of the Alliance come here to peruse the lore. Milton Sheaf seems to be the head librarian.
The Royal Library boasted the Royal Gallery before the chamber was destroyed after Deathwing's attack.[1]
Harrison Jones teaches archaeology in the library.
History[]
After the Second War, the Book of Medivh was stored here for a period. Alterac spies stole it the same day Pargath Throatsplitter, Teron Gorefiend and other death knights launched a raid on the castle to get it for themselves. The Horde agents found proofs linking Alterac to the stealing, and so left the library before reinforcements could come.[2]
During a memorial ceremony for Varian Wrynn after the Battle for Broken Shore, Magus Solgaze was doing research in the library. The ceremony was interrupted by a Burning Legion attack, and the library was protected by the royal guard.[3]
