This Isle of Thunder is an old version of the one currently accessible. It is still found on the overworld of Pandaria, but cannot be reached by normal means. It is devoid of NPCs and mobs. It uses the Mogu'shan Palace facade model to create a version of the Throne of Thunder in the distance. The Isle of Thunder added in patch 5.2.0 is instanced and has a completely different layout.
