This review delineates core components of the social media ecosystem, specifying how online platforms complicate established social psychological effects and outlines the obstacles in isolating effects that reoccur across platforms, as well as the challenges-and opportunities-that come with measuring contexts across periods.

Toward a Feminist Social Media Vulnerability Taxonomy

A feminist taxonomy of social media vulnerability is proposed (FSMV), which reflects vulnerability sources, states, and valences and describes how social media enable forms of vulnerability different from in-person settings, challenge framings that synonymize vulnerability with risk/harm, and facilitate interdisciplinary theory-building.
