Tokyo Bound, Alex Rose (Athletics Samoa Inc) has improved the Samoan National Discus Record to 67.48m to win the men’s discus at the USATF Throws Festival in Tucson, Arizona.
Rose is going strength to strength in the lead up to the Olympic Games, with several competitions now over the elusive 65m mark (Olympic standard).
It was a great competition; I gained a lot of confidence competing alongside high calibre athletes, including Federick Dacres of Jamaica (Silver Medalist from the 2019 World Championships)”,

Alex now looks forward to his final preparations, with less than 60 days to go until Tokyo 2020.
