Since 1995, DaimlerChrysler (at the time Daimler-Benz) has supplied British-built Ilmor engines to the McLaren Formula One team under the Mercedes-Benz brand. In January 2000, DaimlerChrysler bought a 40% share of the Group, with Ron Dennis and the Techniques d'Avant Garde Group (owned by Mansour Ojjeh) each owning a 30% share. [1] In August 2006 Auto Motor und Sport magazine reported that DaimlerChrysler was considering acquiring the 60% held by Dennis and Ojjeh. [2]
