Palatine
The Palatine, also known as the Elite Guard, was a variant of the Xenomorph species. Essentially a Queen–sized Drone, the Palatine served as the Queen Mother's personal guard.
Characteristics[]
A type of Xenomorph, the Palatine was similar in appearance to the Drone; however, it was considerably larger. The Palatine also toted unique distinctions such as spines on either side of its head; some Palatines also featured tusks. At least one group of Palatines resided in five large, egg–shaped pods surrounding the chamber of their Queen Mother.
Palatines were markedly aggressive in nature, though they were only spurred to action in situations when the Queen Mother's safety was critically endangered. The Palatine was also strong enough to destroy a P-5000 Powered Work Loader and possessed a great resilience to physical damage.
