Andrew Holt (Republican Party) was a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 76. He assumed office in 2010. He left office on November 3, 2020.
Holt (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives to represent District 76. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Holt holds a B.S. in agricultural economics and business from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He later received an MBA from the University of Tennessee-Martin. Holt has worked as a farmer and businessman.

NSA surveillance
In January 2014, Holt and State Rep. Stacey Campfield introduced legislation pushing back against the National Security Agency and the federal government’s warrantless surveillance programs. The bills would ban state officials from providing material support to the NSA’s code-breaking facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.[2]

Elections for 99 seats in the Tennessee House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 7, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 3, 2014. Joyce Washington was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Andy Holt was unopposed in the Republican primary. Holt defeated Washington in the general election.[8][9]

Holt won re-election in the 2012 election for Tennessee House of Representatives, District 76. Holt ran unopposed in the August 2 primary election and defeated Mark L. Maddox (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[10][11]

Holt was unopposed in the August 5 primary.[12] He defeated Democrat Mark Maddox in the general election on November 2, 2010.[13]
