Barbara Whelan is a judge for the Northeast Judicial District of North Dakota. She was appointed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R) on October 19, 2017, to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of M. Richard Geiger.[1]
Biography
Whelan was the state's attorney for Walsh County at the time of her judicial appointment. She previously served as the state's attorney for Pembina County from 1999 to 2005.[1]
