Charles Mengel Allen (1916-2000) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.

Allen was nominated to the Western District of Kentucky by President Richard Nixon on November 17, 1971, to a seat vacated by Henry Brooks; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 23, 1971, and received commission on November 30, 1971. From 1977-1985, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on October 1, 1985. He served the Western District of Kentucky until his death on January 4, 2000.[1]
