Education

David M. Johnson is a Sixth Judicial District judge for St. Louis County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on July 7, 2006, and was elected to a full term in 2008.[1]

He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in 2020.[2]

Education

Johnson received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1983 and his J.D. degree from the Notre Dame Law School in 1993.[1]

Career

Military service

Johnson retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a colonel in 2010, after 27 years of service. From 1983 to 1995, he served on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was on the reserves from then until his retirement. He was activated after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, called up from January 2, 2002, to August 30, 2005, to support the war efforts. He was sent to Afghanistan from January to June 2005.[1][3]
