Dennis Raymond Knapp (1912-1998) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.[1]

Knapp was nominated by President Richard Nixon on December 8, 1970, to a new seat created by 84 Stat. 294; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 16, 1970, and received commission two days later. He served as chief judge from 1973-1982. He assumed senior status on February 25, 1983, and served until his death on December 25, 1998.[1]
