Donald Emil Ziegler (1936-present) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Ziegler was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on March 22, 1978, to a seat vacated by Rabe Marsh; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 1, 1978, and received commission the next day. He served as chief judge from 1994-2001.[1] He assumed senior status on October 1, 2001, and retired on May 31, 2003. Ziegler was succeeded in this position by Terrence McVerry.
