Edmond E. Chang is a federal judge serving on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He joined the court in 2010 after a nomination from President Barack Obama. Prior to joining the court, Chang was a federal prosecutor in Chicago, Illinois.[1]
Early life and education
Chang earned his B.S.E. in aerospace engineering, cum laude, in 1991 from the University of Michigan, and his J.D., cum laude, in 1994 from the Northwestern University School of Law.[2]

On April 21, 2010, Chang was nominated for a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by President Obama.[1] He was nominated to fill the seat vacated by Judge Elaine Bucklo.[3] Chang was recommended to the president by Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin.[4]
Chang was rated Unanimously Qualified by the American Bar Association.[5]
