Edward Matthew McEntee (1906-1981) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. He joined the court in 1965 after an appointment from Lyndon Johnson.[1] McEntee died on February 14, 1981.

Judicial nominations and appointments

First Circuit

McEntee was nominated to the First Circuit by President Lyndon Johnson on August 3, 1965, to a seat vacated by Peter Woodbury; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 31, 1965, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on December 31, 1976, and served in that capacity until his death on February 14, 1981. His vacancy was filled by Hugh Bownes.[1]
