George P. Wanty (1856-1906) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
He was nominated by President William McKinley on March 7, 1900. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 13, 1900, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on July 9, 1906.[1] Wanty was succeeded in this position by Loyal Edwin Knappen.
