Gilbert Peralta is a former Democratic member of the New Mexico Public Education Commission. He represents District 6. Peralta ran for re-election without opposition in 2014, and his current term expired in December 2018. He did not seek re-election in 2018.[1][2][3]
Biography
Peralta is an educator by trade, having worked in schools for more than 30 years. His professional experience includes working as the principal of Zimmerly and Midway Elementary Schools.[3]
In addition to working as an educator, Peralta coached high school basketball, baseball and golf for 20 years. He was named Coach of the Year by the Albuquerque Journal in 1998.[3]

Peralta first won election to the commission in 2010, and took office in 2011. His last term expired in December 2018.

Peralta won re-election to the New Mexico Public Education Commission in 2014. Peralta ran uncontested in District 6. Gilbert Peralta won the general election on November 4, 2014, without opposition.[2]
