Holly B. Fitzsimmons is a federal magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She was appointed to this position on June 4, 1993.[1] Fitzsimmons retired in April 2015, but was recalled to service.[2]
Education
Judge Fitzsimmons received her undergraduate degree from Smith College in 1971. She then earned both an M.A. degree in Legal History and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia in 1976.[1]
Professional career
Judge Fitzsimmons began her career in 1976 with the law firm Robinson & Cole. She then worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut from 1978 to 1993.[1]

Fitzsimmons is a federal magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She was appointed to this position on June 4, 1993.[1] Fitzsimmons retired in April 2015.[2] She was subsequently recalled to continue serving as a magistrate judge on April 2, 2015.[3]
